Formed in 1992 in East Lansing, Michigan, The Verve Pipe is an all-American rock band. Their first major label release was Villains garnered national attention in the mid-1990s as part of the popular Adult-Alternative branch of the Alternative Rock boom. Though its nostalgic single “The Freshmen” proved to be highly successful, their follow-up release, the critically acclaimed self-titled LP The Verve Pipe, featured “Hero,” a Top 15 hit on Modern Rock radio. The Verve Pipe continues to tour, performing both Rock and kids shows throughout the U.S., including special appearances at Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits Festival, Hangout Music Festival, Summer Stage in Central Park, and many more.
