Known for performing at the highest level, the Polish Wieniawski Philharmonic Orchestra was founded in 1944. Under the direction of principal conductor Wojciech Rodek, the Polish Philharmonic is the largest music institution in eastern Poland. Accompanying the orchestra will be first prize winners for the Chopin International Piano Competition and Wieniawski International Violin Competition.

Event Details

Agata Szymczewska will be one of the featured artists for the performance. Acclaimed by audiences all around the world, Agata won first prize at the 13th Henryk Wieniawski International Violin Competition. She has performed with the London Philharmonic Orchestra in England, Bolshoi Theatre in Russia, Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra in Turkey, and many other prestigious orchestras around the world. 

Pawel Wakarecy is the solo pianist with the group. Pawel has performed in such prestigious halls as Cadogan Hall and Westminster Cathedral Hall in London, Salle Cortot in Paris, Oji Hall in Tokyo, and many more. Known for the natural, instinctive feeling of his playing, Pawel was the only Polish finalist in the 16th International Fryderyk Chopin Competition.
