Steel Betty delivers upbeat toe tapping Bluegrass and Folk music that has audiences coming back for more every time the group performs! Hailing from Austin, Texas, Steel Betty lives at the crossroads of what makes Austin, Texas the engine driving traditional music in America. Flavors of Bluegrass, Folk, Blues, Tex-Mex, Old Time Music, and Classic Country are embraced by Steel Betty; a hip, virtuosic trio, that embraces Austin’s eclectic culture and brings these lively forms of music out of Texas for the rest of the Country to experience!

The members of Steel Betty uses their upbringing in Austin, Texas as a springboard for helping deliver the unique forms of music and the eclectic culture to audiences. It’s a formula for making great music and unforgettable performances. David McD (guitar, vocals), Maddy Froncek (banjo, upright bass, vocals), and Micah Motenko (mandolin, piano, vocals) are multi-instrumentalists who combine their unique talents and skills to capture the sounds and harmonies of Austin like no other ensemble. Every time Steel Betty performs on stage, they deliver terrific music, including classics from Bill Monroe, the Stanley Brothers, spirituals, the Conjunto tradition, and more, as well as the group’s own original music! These great originals include songs such as “Midnight on The Highway,” “Alone,” “Mercy Me,” and “Highway 1.”
