Renowned dance artist Lil' Buck stars in a new show called “Memphis Jookin’: The Show” an ode to his hometown of Memphis, TN-- birthplace of the singular dance style known as Memphis Jookin’.
The stage show takes us on a journey to the fabled city to chronicle how the art form emerged from local street dance to international phenomenon.
The original production features Lil Buck alongside a cast of Memphis’ leading Jookin’ dancers performing to a soundtrack that evokes the energy of the streets and the clubs where Memphis Jookin’ was born.

Charles "Lil Buck" Riley is a movement artist known for bringing a freestyle-based dance, involving intricate footwork, called Memphis Jookin’ to mainstream audiences across the world. He has made a niche for himself by adding his own style and imagination to create signature moves.
Lil’ Buck racked up internet views when he performed alongside world-renowned cellist YoYo Ma. He has also collaborated with choreographer Benjamin Millepied and musical artists Janelle Monae and Wynton Marsalis, just to name a few. Lil’ Buck took on the role of “Wink” in Cirque du Soleil’s “Michael Jackson: One.” Many recognize him from Apple’s AirPods commercial, Lexus’ 2017 Super Bowl commercial, and his cameos in Fox’s hit TV Show “Empire.” Join this dance innovator at the Opera House this April.
