COVID 19 update Fbcover smallblog

The Newberry Opera House Performing Arts Center and the Foundation is dedicated to ensuring a safe environment for all who pass through our doors. The Newberry Opera House (NOH) always prioritizes the safety and security of its audiences, artists, volunteers, and staff.

The NOH is continuing to monitor, evaluate, and update procedures according to the guidelines of the CDC, local, and state authorities. An updated evaluation will be made in the next several weeks as circumstances are very fluid at this time as to whether more performances will be affected. Return to this page for a comprehensive list as performances postpone, change date, or cancel their tours.

The Newberry Opera House is currently working to confirm new dates for postponed performances when possible. If you have tickets to a performance affected by COVID-19 (listed below), you will be contacted prior to the original show date. What to do moving forward:

Keep Your Seat – Hang On To Your Tickets

If there is a new show date or we anticipate announcing one soon, we suggest you keep your same seats for the new date. We do ask that you let us know if that is what you wish to do, but you don’t need new tickets, just make sure to mark your calendar for the new date and bring your original tickets on the night of the show. Send us an This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to let us know you wish to keep your tickets.

Please note that if you choose to keep your tickets for The Isaacs Christmas Show without Terry Bradshaw on November 20, ticket prices will be Tier 1: $65 / Tier 2: $60 / Tier 3: $55 so you will receive new tickets and a gift card for the balance of the ticket cost.

Donate The Value of Your Tickets

If there is not a new date or you cannot attend the new date, we ask that you consider donating your tickets. With so many postponed shows, times like these can be devastating for non-profit Arts organizations like ours. As a 501c3, any donation to the Newberry Opera House would be tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. We ask your help in weathering this storm.

Exchange Your Tickets

The next option is to exchange your tickets for another performance. Check out for a full list of performances for which you can exchange your tickets. (If the ticket is for a greater value, then you would owe the difference.)

Get A NOH “Gift Card” Credit On Your Account

Lastly, you can choose to receive a gift card or credit on your account for the value of your tickets. Gift Cards are good for up to 5 years. We are already busy scheduling shows for next season, and we know you will have lots of great events on which to use your credit. If you would like to take advantage of any of these options, you must contact the NOH Box Office no later than April 28, 2020 at 5:30 P.M., which will be here quickly.

While the performance hall is dark we are still here for you answering phone calls and email, Monday thru Friday from 9:30 A.M. to 5:30 P.M., closed Saturday and Sunday. Moving Forward:

The Newberry Opera House Foundation Board and administration will be evaluating performances mid-month. We are optimistic about the future, but we know that more dates could change as this situation is fluid.

Thank you!

Thank you for your patience as we all navigate these uncharted waters. The Newberry Opera House looks forward to the moment the doors can reopen and all can be together to experience the arts once more. In the coming weeks, we will be sharing arts and music that you can enjoy from your home visit our Facebook page for links. The Newberry Opera House looks forward to welcoming you home again soon!
