The Newberry Opera House reserves the right to make changes to scheduled performances without prior notice. All ticket sales are final.

We prioritize the secure sale of tickets and aim to ensure patrons’ confidence in their purchases. By buying a ticket through NewberryOperaHouse.com, by phone, or in person, patrons agree not to resell or allow another party to resell their ticket.

If a ticket is resold for commercial gain or advertised for sale, the Newberry Opera House may cancel or void the ticket. Additionally, the account associated with the ticket may be terminated at the discretion of Newberry Opera House staff.

Please be aware that all orders may be changed to will call, requiring ticket pickup in person with a matching valid photo ID. By purchasing a ticket or attending an event at the Newberry Opera House, patrons agree to these terms and conditions. If purchasing tickets on behalf of someone else, it is the buyer’s responsibility to inform them of these terms and conditions.

Authorized Ticket Sellers

Newberry Opera House Box Office and NewberryOperaHouse.com are the only authorized sellers of Newberry Opera House events.

If you purchase tickets from another source, such as Seat Geek, Vivid Seats. Ticketcenter.com, Ticketsales.com, Ticketmaster, or any other unauthorized reseller, you risk that these tickets are fake, void, or have previously been canceled.

Ticket buyers who purchase tickets from a ticket broker or any third party should be aware that the Newberry Opera House is unable to reprint, refund, replace, or exchange lost or stolen tickets and is unable to contact patrons with information regarding time changes or other pertinent updates regarding the performance.

Q: What is the refund/exchange policy for tickets?
A: The Newberry Opera House has a strict “No Refund” policy. All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. However, if a show is rescheduled, postponed, or canceled, patrons have the following options:
• Exchange tickets for another show.
• Transfer ticket value to a gift card valid for up to 5 years.
• Donate ticket value to the Opera House.

Q: If I need to leave during a show, will I be allowed to re-enter?
A: Doors will lock 30 minutes after the show begins. Guests who do not have tickets will not be allowed to enter the building.

Q: What are my options for ticket delivery and how do I get my tickets?
A: Tickets can be delivered via email, shipped for a fee, or picked up at Will Call. Remember to bring a valid ID when picking up Will Call tickets.

Q: Why do I have to pay a fee when ordering online or over the phone?
A: Fees help maintain our box office operations. Fees help pay for things like maintenance, ticket-selling software, and employee labor. We do our best to keep this fee as low as possible. To avoid paying the handling fee, visit the box office in person.

Admission

We ask for your help in maintaining this historic venue. Please use the trash receptacles provided and observe event rules. Contribute to making the Newberry Opera House a place that everyone enjoys. Newberry Opera House staff reserves the authority to refuse entry to any guests found carrying items prohibited by the theater. In accordance with the Newberry Opera House Policy, outside food or beverages are strictly prohibited within the theater premises.

Q: Where do guests enter the venue?
A: Guests will enter from the main entrance on Boyce Street. Tickets will be scanned at the doors, and bags may be subject to search. Please note that the doors on McKibben Street are for exit only and will not be used for guests with tickets.

Q: What is the bag policy?
A: All guests are subject to a bag check upon entry. Outside food or drinks are not allowed inside the theater, as per The Newberry Opera House Food and Beverage Policy. Security staff reserves the right to deny entry to guests with prohibited items. Refusal of inspection will result in denial of entry. Prohibited items discovered during a search must either be disposed of or returned to the patron’s vehicle. Diaper bags are allowed when accompanying an infant. A: Some artists may request late-arriving audience members to wait in the lobby until a suitable break for seating arises during the performance.

Concessions

Q: When will concessions be available?
A: At most events, ticketed and non-ticketed, concessions are available in the lobby when the lobby opens 45 minutes prior to the performance. The bar will close 45 minutes after the start of the event. Please check with your bartender for the exact closing times on the night of your visit.

Q: What types of payments are accepted?
A: The Newberry Opera House accepts all major credit and debit cards and cash payments. Did you know that we offer contactless pay? Check-out goes so much faster with Google Pay, Apple Pay, and credit cards.

Q: What is a Newberry Opera House Collector’s Cup?
A: A Newberry Opera House Collector’s Cup is a special cup required for serving all alcoholic beverages at the venue. Each cup costs $12.00 and includes your first beverage.

Q: How does the collector’s cup work?
A: Upon purchasing a collector’s cup, your first beverage is included. For subsequent purchases, simply return to the bar with your cup to receive refills at a discounted price.

Q: Does EVERYTHING have to be placed in a Collector’s Cup?
A: No! While all beer and wine must be placed in a Collector’s Cup, our non-alcoholic products do not! You may enjoy sodas, teas, and water in the original plastic bottles inside our performance space, as long as you purchase them from our concessions area.

Q: What if I forget my collector’s cup?
A: If you forget your collector’s cup, you must purchase a new one to consume alcohol on our premises.

Q: What should I do in case of spills?
A: Please report any spills to our ambassadors or staff members before exiting the building. Your cooperation helps us maintain a clean and enjoyable environment for all guests.

Q: How many drinks can I order at a time?
A: Good question! The Newberry Opera House follows the “two drinks per guest per transaction” when ordering alcoholic beverages at our bar. It is really nice if you are buying beverages for others in your party, but if you plan to order or pick up more than two alcoholic beverages at a time, please bring another adult of the legal drinking age from your party to assist you in carrying your purchases. *Wine doubles count as two alcoholic beverages, even though they are in the same cup.
