Started in the early 1960s, Chicago-based Rock band The Buckinghams helped define the look and style of 60s and 70s Pop-Rock. During its earlier years, The Buckinghams released 12 singles (that would later become an album) as a test of the group’s potential. Little did they know one of these songs, “Kind of a Drag,” would propel them into fame, and become the band’s best-selling and only #1 hit. Four popular albums later, The Buckinghams was performing at sold-out arenas and festivals across the country. The band appeared on shows such as “The Jerry Lewis Show,” “The Ed Sullivan Show,” “The Joey Bishop Show,” and many others.
After taking a break to pursue individual projects, the band came back together in 1985 and have been wowing audiences ever since, packing power into 60s Pop Rock and 70s favorites.
