The Gibson Brothers
Raised on a dairy farm in upstate New York, the Gibson Brothers began performing as adolescents, playing Gospel instrumentals at a local church before pursuing music careers in Nashville in their 20s. Since then, the award-winning duo has released 8 studio albums, and won 11 IBMA awards. The Gibson Brothers are known for popular songs “In the Ground,” “Mockingbird,” “Brotherhood,” “They Call It Music,” “Red-Letter Day,” and many others.
Now having established themselves as Bluegrass royalty, Leigh and Eric Gibson step into what some might at first see as uncharted territory on their country-soul breakout “Mockingbird,” the new album produced by The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach and Fergie Ferguson.
A mix of country, soul and seventies rock, the album further cements the sibling duo as musical trailblazers. As players and vocalists, they are superb, harmonizing as only siblings can. As songwriters, they stand without peer, having long been a band awarded for their songs and songwriting.Rob Ickes and Trey Hensley
